Real Madrid want Antonio Pintus to remain with the first team for the Club World Cup and next season - reports

Real Madrid want Antonio Pintus to continue as their physical trainer next season and for the Club World Cup. The Italian has already been informed of the decision, but he will wait to see how he fits into Xabi Alonso’s staff before confirming.

Alonso is set to replace Carlo Ancelotti, who will take over Brazil from 25 May. The former midfielder is expected to bring his own staff, including Ismael Camenforte Lopez, who worked with him at Bayer Leverkusen.

Initially, Madrid considered moving Pintus to another role within Valdebebas. However, Florentino Perez remains convinced of his value. A source told The Athletic, “Florentino really believes that Pintus is the secret or key to winning the Champions League.”

Pintus wants to feel respected after a tough season marked by internal tension and injuries. Despite this, Luka Modric, Arda Guler and Endrick have not missed a game through injury. The club do not see Pintus as the only factor behind the problems.
