'Sad about this moment': Milan's Loftus-Cheek shares dressing room mood after Roma defeat
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has spoken to Milan TV after AC Milan’s 3-1 loss to Roma on May 18, 2025, revealing deep frustration in the dressing room.
"It’s a tough time for us. This week, and then this game, with a red card early on. Playing with 10 men was hard. We did well to equalize at 1-1, but we’re very sad about this moment.
"Missing the Europa League is mentally tough. Everyone in the dressing room had their heads down. It’s hard to see."
Milan’s season, marred by Tammy Abraham’s brace and Christian Pulisic’s lone goal, has ended without European qualification.
Despite a chance to compete for a Champions League spot earlier, Milan’s campaign fizzled out by March, leaving Loftus-Cheek and his teammates grappling with disappointment.
