Barcelona legendary goalkeeper, Victor Valdes, has walked away from his coaching job at Real Avila after just four games.
Here's a statement from Real Avila confirming Valdes' departure.
"Real Ávila CF announces that coach Víctor Valdés will not continue with the club next season due to his express wish.
"The coach has communicated through a letter to the club his desire not to continue with Real Ávila for the 2025-26 season.
"From Real Ávila, we thank him for his work in qualifying the team for the playoffs and wish him the best of luck."
Valdes signed until the end of the season and next, but decided to leave after failing to help Avila qualify for the first Division of the RFEF, Spain's third tier.
