Manchester United’s players were also unhappy after being allocated only two tickets each for the upcoming Europa League final, along with seats on a charter flight to Santander, according to Daily Mail.
In addition, logistical challenges surrounding accommodation have forced United to spread their staff and guests across three different hotels in Bilbao. While the squad will stay at a UEFA-designated hotel, the tight availability for the final has meant the club had to secure rooms at two additional locations for staff, sponsors, and guests.
One of these is the Melia Hotel, where the team stayed during the semi-final against Athletic Club and had hoped to return, but UEFA’s alternative arrangements have made this impossible. The other hotel is located just outside the city.
