Benfica make first offer to Roma for defender Samuel Dahl
At the end of the winter transfer window, Swedish full-back Samuel Dahl has moved from Italian club Roma to Lisbon’s Benfica on loan for 600,000 euros.
Before that, the 22-year-old player spent half a year in the Italian capital, and last summer the Wolves paid 4.3 million euros to Djurgarden for his transfer.
Since Roma found the player unnecessary at a certain stage of the season, Benfica now intend to take advantage of the opportunity and offer the Italians a full transfer.
They are offering a solid sum — 12 million euros — but the Wolves want even more — a full 15 million euros.
The sides are currently in active negotiations and plan to reach an agreement before the beginning of June.
Meanwhile, Dahl has played 17 matches for Benfica and provided six assists.
