FIFA announces special registration window for Club World Cup
FIFA has announced a special registration period for the upcoming Club World Cup, allowing teams to register new signings and make changes to their rosters.
From June 1 to 10, 20 member associations with qualified clubs will have the opportunity to register new players who will be eligible to compete in the tournament.
The final roster must be submitted by June 10, and teams will be able to use the players they sign during this period in the United States.
Additionally, clubs will have a limited window to make changes to their rosters during the competition itself, between June 27 and July 3, 2025.
During this window, teams will be able to replace players whose contracts have expired and add up to two new players, without exceeding the maximum of 35 registered players.
FIFA's objective is to facilitate players with expiring contracts to participate in the tournament, promoting a solution that benefits all parties.
The 2025 Club World Cup will feature 32 teams from six confederations, starting on June 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and concluding with the final on July 13 at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.
