Luis Enrique's unorthodox approach: PSG coach directs training from above
As Paris Saint-Germain prepare to face Inter Milan in the Champions League final, coach Luis Enrique is leaving no stone unturned in his team's preparation.
In a bid to gain a tactical edge, Enrique has been directing training sessions from an unusual vantage point - a 6-meter high crane that provides him with a bird's eye view of the pitch.
The Spanish coach, who joined PSG in 2023, had requested a scaffolding to oversee training sessions from above, and the club has obliged.
According to Enrique, this elevated perspective allows him to correct players' movements in real-time, without having to rely on video footage.
"I can notice errors immediately and intervene to improve the team's movements," Enrique explained, adding that the view from above "changes completely" his perspective on the game.
With the help of his trusted assistant Joaquin Valdès, Enrique is confident that this unorthodox approach will give PSG the edge they need to succeed against Inter.
