Newcastle have no intention of selling Alexander Isak despite Liverpool and Arsenal interest - Fabrizio Romano
Newcastle United have made it clear that Alexander Isak will remain a key part of their squad next season, especially with the prospect of Champions League football on the horizon, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The club’s owners and management are united in their desire to keep the forward, rejecting interest from several clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal.
Liverpool made initial inquiries into Isak’s situation as early as April and May, ahead of the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Arsenal have long considered Isak their number one target under Mikel Arteta. However, both clubs understand that securing his transfer this summer is unlikely.
Newcastle’s message has been unequivocal - they have no intention of selling the Swedish striker.
Alexander Isak has delivered an impressive campaign this season, netting 27 goals and registering 6 assists across 41 appearances in all competitions. See detailed stats on Tribuna.com.
