Jurgen Klopp has shared an emotional message with Liverpool supporters following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit from the club, as the defender edges closer to a move to Real Madrid.
Speaking during Liverpool FC Foundation Gala Ball, Klopp held up a signed Alexander-Arnold shirt and addressed the speculation surrounding the right-back’s future. While acknowledging the disappointment among supporters, the former Liverpool boss urged fans to remember the player’s immense contribution to the club.
"I’m not saying don’t be disappointed but don’t forget what he’s done for this club.
"I heard the booing, I switched the TV off. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. This isn’t us," Klopp has said.
