Irigoyen reports that Jorge Mendes, one of the world’s leading football agents who represents Yamal, made a swift trip to Barcelona to finalise the renewal of the promising player’s contract. Mendes was reportedly uncomfortable about delaying the renewal until after Yamal’s upcoming holiday in Brazil, where the young forward is expected to meet his idol Neymar.
The 17-year-old winger, who has quickly become one of the most exciting prospects at the club, also filmed a Nike commercial recently and may soon appear wearing Barcelona’s iconic number 10 shirt. This would mark a significant moment as the current holder of the number 10, Ansu Fati, is widely expected to leave the club soon.
