Scott McTominay named Serie A Player of the Season
Scott McTominay has enjoyed a remarkable revival in Italy, just a year after being deemed surplus to requirements by Manchester United.
McTominay joined Napoli for £25 million last summer - a move that is now widely regarded as a bargain. Since his arrival, McTominay has flourished in a more advanced role, showcasing his attacking instincts and becoming a key figure in Napoli’s title-winning campaign.
In 34 Serie A appearances, the 28-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided 4 assists, playing a crucial part in guiding Napoli to their first Scudetto since 2023.
His standout performances were capped off on Friday night when he was officially named Serie A Player of the Season following Napoli’s match against Cagliari.
