Napoli offer Kevin De Bruyne three-year deal with €6m net salary for first two seasons - reports
According to Matteo Moretto, Napoli have extended a three-year contract proposal to Kevin De Bruyne, offering a net salary of €6m per year for the first two seasons, followed by €5m in the third season, along with a signing bonus.
De Bruyne, whose contract with Manchester City expires on June 30, is expected to announce his decision soon. He currently has an offer from Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire on the table.
Napoli’s interest in De Bruyne has been longstanding. The club’s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, visited Manchester to discuss the potential move, and De Bruyne has reportedly been in discussions with his international teammates, Romelu Lukaku and Dries Mertens, who have spoken highly of Napoli and the city.
The Belgian midfielder is considering his options carefully, weighing the opportunity to play in Serie A and the Champions League against the prospect of a move to the United States. His decision is anticipated to be made in the coming days.
