Stuttgart win German Cup with 4-2 victory over Arminia Bielefeld
VfB Stuttgart secured their fourth DFB-Pokal title with a commanding 4–2 victory over Arminia Bielefeld in the 2025 final held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. This triumph marks Stuttgart's first major silverware since their Bundesliga title in 2007.
The match was effectively decided in the first half, with Stuttgart capitalizing on defensive errors by Bielefeld. Nick Woltemade opened the scoring in the 15th minute, followed by goals from Enzo Millot and Deniz Undav. Bielefeld's Julian Kania scored in the 82nd minute, and Vagnoman's own goal added a second for the third-division side, but it was too little, too late.
Arminia Bielefeld's journey to the final was historic, as they became the first third-division team to reach the DFB-Pokal final since 2001. Their remarkable run included victories over Bundesliga teams such as Bayer Leverkusen, Union Berlin, Freiburg, and Werder Bremen.
With this victory, Stuttgart not only lifted the prestigious cup but also secured a spot in the group stage of the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League and will host the 2025 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
