Wesley Sneijder confident CR7 is not the man Juve needs to win CL
- Cri Ro is not all Juve need to end their Champions League wait says Sneijder
- He is confident that the Old Lady will need more than Cristiano to win the CL
While Portugal international is viewed as that missing final touch as Juventus seek to end their European drought which dates back to 1996, since when Juve have tasted five defeats in five finals, including being beaten by Real in Cardiff in 2017.
Wesley Sneijder, who won the tournament with Inter Milan in 2010, has now predicted Ronaldo will not be the man to end Juventus’ wait:
"No, I don’t think so," Sneijder told beIN SPORTS, when asked if Massimiliano Allegri’s men will win the Champions League after Ronaldo’s arrival in Turin.
"I don’t think so it’s not about one player you know, of course in the past years Juventus did a great job in the Champions League.
"But it’s not about one player who is going to change everything, that it is going to change that much that you are going to win the Champions League.

"There are tougher teams than Juventus.
"For the league, okay it would surprise me if they don’t win the league but the Champions League I think you need more for that."
Sneijder left Real for Inter in the summer of 2009 as Ronaldo joined the Spanish giants as part of a big-money squad overhaul and he might still be holding some grudge against the Portuguese superstar.
