Ex-Barca target Griezmann could replace Neymar at PSG should he return to Camp Nou
- The Brazilian is linked with the Blaugrana return for 220 million euros next summer
- PSG have already identified former Barca target Griezmann as a replacement
Looks like Paris Saint-Germain are ready to let Neymar leave even though he only joined the club in the summer of 2017 for the record-breaking sum of 222 million euros. Several French media, as well as Spanish top sources, such as Mundo Deportivo and Cadena SER, claim the first steps have already been made as the president Josep Maria Bartomeu is now rumoured to sanction Neymar's return.
PSG have also started working on the potential arrival of the world-class attacking player to replace Neymar in their star-studded team. According to the French news outlets, they have already identified the 2018 World Cup winner with France and Barcelona former transfer target Antoine Griezmann to become Neymar's replacement.
Griezmann was heavily linked with the Barcelona move during the whole first half of 2018. Eventually, he announced that he would stay at Atletico Madrid in the much-talked-about movie 'The Decision' which appeared in the mid-June, right before the start of the World Cup campaign.
However, Griezmann could reconsider his decision as a return to his native PSG would be viewed as a brilliant move. Moreover, at the Parc des Princes stadium, he could form an excellent all-French partnership with his teammate Kylian Mbappe. It would take as much as 150 million euros for PSG to sign him while Neymar's buy-back clause is reported to be up to 220 million euros.
In any case, PSG's interest in Griezmann indicates that the Parisians are ready to consider Neymar's return to Barcelona which has been widely discussed in the press for a couple of days. The Brazilian feels 'unhappy' in Paris as he misses the grandeur of the Camp Nou stadium and his South-American Blaugrana teammates, such as Luis Suarez and Leo Messi.
