Bookies: Chelsea favourites to land Callum Wilson in January
- The Blues are reportedly still searching for a striker
- 26-year-old Cherries striker Wilson is allegedly on Chelsea's radar
- And bookies at Ladbrokes have installed Maurizio Sarri's side as clear favourites for his signature
According to the Mirror, a reliable British source, Chelsea have set their sights on Callum Wilson. The 26-year-old has scored 7 goals in 13 games for Eddie Howe's side this season as well as providing 4 assists.
And bookmakers at Labrokes have installed Chelsea as favourites to become Wilson's next club. The Blues are rated at 2/1 to secure the 26-year-old's signature, ahead of Everton (4/1), and Tottenham (9/2).
Wilson, who has contributed to more goals than any other English player so far this season, is being watched by Chelsea. Mirror ad that the Blues' scouts will monitor the 26-year-old until at least the end of the year.
Wilson is currently hoping to be included in Gareth Southate's next England squad. However, the striker insists he doesn't feel the pressure of being watched by big clubs: "I don't really want to talk too much about it.
"I don't want to talk my way into the squad, I want to play my way in. I just want to focus on game by game and improve my game.
"I'm still only 26, I've missed a lot of football. I'm catching up now. So yes, I'm always working at it, working on the training field, trying to improve.
"It's nice to have the achievement of scoring 50 goals. I should have had it a lot sooner but I got there in the end and now I’m looking upwards. I want to get 100 goals and reach another landmark."
