Fekir reportedly stalling over contract negotiations with Chelsea
- Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is concerned over the unsolved future of his star
- Fekir's contract with the French side expires in summer 2020
- Chelsea are on alert as the negotiations stumble
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder, who is regarded as a target for Chelsea, has 18 months left on his current deal with Lyon.
"For the moment, we haven't really got into a real discussion, even though we met three weeks ago," Aulas said.
"The sorting out of certain things regarding the question of his agent is underway. The aim is to have a clear and precise position from him between now and the end of the year. Jean-Pierre Bernes is still his agent, but he might not be between now and the end of his contract."
Lyon is in a hurry to discuss Nabil Fekir's new deal "before the holidays" amid rumours that the player is highly sought by Chelsea and Bayern Munich, French outlet Le Progres also reported today.
According to the outlet, Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas is set to meet with Fekir in future days, as the club doesn't normally allow players to "leave so close to the end of their contract." The French side intend to upgrade the players' current deal that runs out in 2020.
