PSG are not ready to 'let go' Rabiot to Barca
- The Frenchman doesn't want to extend with the Parisians or even negotiate with the club
- Everything indicates he will leave for free next summer with Barca reported to be his preferred destination
- However, PSG are ready to financially improve their renewal offer
Adrien Rabiot's transfer saga is still dragging on. What do we currently know? The Frenchman isn't going to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain even though they are doing everything possible to persuade him into a renewal. He is determined to leave the club with Barcelona reported to be his preferred destination.
Moreover, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the midfielder is even refusing to meet with the club's representatives to discuss the possibility of extending his PSG offer for one more time. Everything indicates that Rabiot will leave PSG for free in the summer of 2019 which is naturally not an option for the Parisians.
That is why, according to the same source, PSG are reportedly ready to take any possible actions to make Rabiot sign a renewal. They are working on an improved offer which would see the Frenchman earning even more than he does right now. In other words, PSG will allegedly do anything to prevent him from joining Barcelona.
The relationships between the two clubs have never been positive; moreover, they deteriorated gravely in the summer of 2017 following Barca's failed pursuit of Marco Verratti and Neymar's scandalous €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain. In any case, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel also thinks highly of Rabiot and doesn't want to let him leave.
