Arsenal reportedly join the race for Roma winger Cengiz Under
- The Roma forward is a target for several Premier League sides
- Arsenal are also among competitors for his signing alongside City, Chelsea and Spurs
- He considers moving on in summer
- Roma are eager to keep him until the end of season but could sell him in winter for £40-50m
According to ESPN, the source close to a player told them that he's open to a move to the Premier League. They add Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and reigning champions Manchester City are all scouting the young Turkish star. Some clubs have already approached Roma concerning his availability in January but haven't made any official offers.
Roma could opt to hand the rising star a new contract on improved terms as Cengiz has one of the lowest wages in the team, earning approximately €1m a year. However, the negotiations over a deal have stalled in the recent time. The Giallorossi are in no rush to extend his contract, which expires in 2022.
The source has also informed that the 21-year-old is ready to stay until the end of this year's campaign, but 'increasingly likely' that he will move afterwards. ESPN say the Italian side are eager to keep the player until summer but could change their stance if a £40-50m bid is placed.
The 21-year-old delivered an impressive 2017/18 breakout season at Roma. This term He has scored four goals and bagged five assists in all competitions so far, including two goals and two assists in the Champions League.
