- The 26-year-old is reportedly unhappy at Chelsea and could push for a January transfer.
- Four top clubs are allegedly interested in the striker, including Barcelona.
- The Spaniard could consider a return to his home country as he did great at Real Madrid.
Two-times Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Alvaro Morata is sensationally linked with a possibility of joining their eternal rivals, Barcelona. According to the Spanish source Cadena Cope, the 26-year-old striker is unhappy at Chelsea and his agent has already started a campaign which would see the Spaniard's departure.
Cope list four top clubs which could potentially land the promising attacker. These are Bayern Munich, Monaco, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Previously, Sevilla were heavily linked with Morata; however, they seem to be unable to present an offer matching his huge price tag. In any case, a return to Spain would the best option for the Spaniard who has netted 25 times in La Liga.
So far this season, Morata has only scored nine goals across all competitions and squandered multiple chances. Nevertheless, it is obvious the striker has a huge potential as he was outstanding at both Juventus and Real Madrid. The Spaniard joined Chelsea in the summer of 2017 for 65 million euros as he didn't want to be a second-choice player any longer.
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona decide to bid for Morata. Transfermarkt price him at just 50 million euros as his market value has significantly decreased because of his Chelsea misfortunes. Moreover, Eden Hazard's potential transfer to Real Madrid would make Morata's own departure more complicated.
