Italian TOP source: Higuain's agent visits London to discuss Chelsea move
- La Gazzetta dello Sport report Higuain's agent is currently at London discussing a deal with Chelsea.
- Conflicting reports flooded media in the recent days regarding the Argentine's future.
- For some time it was understood Chelsea gave up on the deal.
- Now it seems like the wheels are once again in motion.
Reputable Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Gonzalo Higuain's brother and agent, Nicolas, is currently in London. It is understood that he negotiates over a potential deal with Chelsea.
Meanwhile, in the recent days conflicting reports have been emerging regarding the Higuain transfer to Chelsea.
For some time, it has been claimed, that the Blues have abandoned the idea of a transfer due to 'complicated negotiations' involving both Milan, where the Argentine is currently on a loan spell and the owner club Juventus.
Then Calciomercato claimed that it was Chelsea sporting director Marina Granovskaya who blocked the transfer and caused Maurizio Sarri's frustration. The Blues executive does not fancy the idea of paying the asked price of €50m for the 31-year-old player.
Meanwhile, amid all the rumors surrounding Gonzalo Higuain's departure from AC Milan, the Rossoneri's sporting director Leonardo has commented on the Argentinian's form and whether The Blues have already made an offer for the 31-year-old striker or not:
"It is difficult to manage a striker when he doesn’t score. Higuain must find the real himself, he is living in a different situation for him, he left Juventus and he is here on loan.
"He is very important for us and he knows it. We haven't received any offer from Chelsea - no one has asked us for him and he didn't ask to leave. Anyway, at AC Milan we keep only the players who want to stay here."
