Rumours from England: Barcelona prepare second bid for Willian
- The Catalans aren't giving up on the Chelsea winger even though they rejected Barca's €60m plus Malcom bid.
- According to the Telegraph, the Blues 'value him higher' than what Barcelona are willing to offer.
According to highly reputable British source Evening Standard, Barcelona are not giving up on their pursuit of Chelsea 30-year-old winger Willian even though they saw their proposed bid of €60m plus Malcom rejected by the London side. Now they are reportedly considering making a second bid for the Chelsea winger Willian.
Yesterday several top-tier British sources have reported that La Liga champions Barcelona have renewed their interest in Willian.
As per Telegraph, even though Willian has just 18 months left on his current Chelsea deal, the Blues 'value him higher' than what Barcelona are willing to offer. The Brazilian is regarded as a key man at Stamford Bridge and the Blues are unwilling to let any of the first-team players go in the January transfer window. However, the 30-year-old has just 18 months left on his deal and no contract talks have been planned so far.
As for Malcom, unfortunately, the Brazilian is an outcast at Barcelona even though they signed him for €41 million from Ligue 1 Bordeaux last summer. He has only played 363 minutes in all competitions since the start of the 2018/2019 season but still managed to score twice, including the crucial equalizer against Inter Milan.
