L'Equipe: Chelsea re-enter the race for PSG outcast Adrien Rabiot
- Chelsea are back in the race for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
- The interest has been reignited due to the departure of Cesc Fabregas to Monaco.
- The Blues join the host of suitors with Barcelona and Bayern Munich reportedly at the forefront of the chase.
- The price tag for Rabiot is at €10-20m since he has only 6 months left on his PSG deal.
Chelsea have allegedly approached PSG over midfielder Adrien Rabiot, British outlet Daily Mirror claims, citing French top source L'Equipe.
The player is at stakes with the Parisien club and the coach Thomas Tuchel, who refuses to let him in the first-team training as Rabiot refuses to extend his deal with PSG that ends in the summer.
Chelsea have already been linked with Rabiot for some time in the first six months of the current season, but the rumours have died out. It seems now that the Blues' interest have been reignited as Cesc Fabregas have departed for Monaco and Chelsea have no replacement.
The expected price tag for Rabiot is somewhere in-between €10-20m as he has only six months left on his contract.
According to the media, Barcelona are leading the race for the midfielder, with some deal allegedly in place for Rabiot to join him in the summer for free.
However, Barcelona-based Diario Sport have previously reported that the Catalan giants are a bit concerned by the player's entourage. Even though he has allegedly agreed on a Blaugrana move, his mother-agent Veronique keeps negotiating with other clubs.
Bayern Munich have also entered the race for Rabiot. According to the reports, the have made formal contact with Paris Saint-Germain. Bild and RMC both insist that Bayern are working on a deal which would see Rabiot arriving at the Allianz Arena already in winter.
