Sky Sports: Cahill has allegedly rejected a move to Juventus
- As many as three European top clubs were allegedly following Chelsea's center-back
- Cahill, however, preferred to remain at Chelsea and fight for the regular football
It is understood by Sky Sports that Gary Cahill will remain at Chelsea, despite the intense interest from as many as three European clubs: Fulham, AS Monaco and Juventus. The Englishman is said to be willing to fight for the starting spot, despite making just seven appearances for Sarri's club.
He has recently opened up on how it feels to stay out of action this season: "Sometimes you have to make those decisions to keep going and progressing. First of all the team's doing well which is the most important thing. Having been a big part of things for six years, seven years and played a huge part, not just a squad player, I'm definitely finding it difficult this year to deal with that situation."
Juve were reportedly eyeing Chelsea's center-back as a replacement for Mehdi Benatia who joined Qatari club Al Duhail, while AS Monaco are fighting a losing fight to avoid relegation this season.
Fulham, meanwhile, are similarly concerned to stay afloat in the Premier League and need the likes of Cahill.
His current market value is £9m according to Transfermarkt and we are only few hours away from transfer deadline.
