Sky Sports: Chelsea's fringe player joins Crystal Palace
- Chelsea have flat out rejected Tottenham's loan offer.
- The Belgian has joined Roy Hodgson's struggling side until the end of the season.
- The striker refused to join West Ham and Real Betis.
Sky Sports, report that Michy Batshuayi is about to join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season. The Belgian's situation has finally been clarified as Chelsea rejected Tottenham's approach with the loan offer for the 25-year-old striker, who failed to become Chelsea's regular.
Good luck @mbatshuayi at Palace.— Mark Worrall (@gate17marco) January 31, 2019
I like the kid & I think he's going to score plenty of goals in the PL to prove a point or two or three to Chelsea 🦇⚽️
Crystal Palace's interest in the forward rooted deeply in the past as the Eagles wanted to sign the player from Marseille back in 2016 but failed as Chelsea gained the upper hand back then.
Michy Batshuayi in talks with Crystal Palace... it would be a cracking move for the Eagles but the striker is having to go down his own pecking order after moves with several clubs fall through. #CFC— Nizaar Kinsella (@NizaarKinsella) January 31, 2019
As Sky Sports have previously reported, The Blues have agreed two loan deals with West Ham and Real Betis but the player snubbed both clubs, preferring to commit his short-term future to CP.
