Bundesliga reportedly set to resume behind closed doors on May 9

Bundesliga is set to become the first major European league to return to action after the coronavirus-enforced break, according to an ESPN reporter Taylor Twellman.

He tweeted the following: "The green light has been given for the Bundesliga to restart May 9 - behind closed doors. The health department needs to agree and the league has to present them their plan but as of now, things are looking up and up for May 9th return of German football."

The last time the ball was kicked in anger in Bundesliga was March 8, during gameweek 25. Much like the English Premier League, Bundesliga suspended all football on March 13 and placed it on indefinite leave.

However, not long ago teams returned to training, which hinted at a close return and here are we today. No official confirmation as of yet of course but fingers crossed we will see one soon.
