🇩🇪 Bundesliga resumes this weekend: loanees, former Gunners and Arsenal targets to watch

The German campaign is set to return on Saturday, May 16. Here are all games that could be of interest to an Arsenal fan.

🇩🇪 Fußball ist zurück! | 🇬🇧 Football is back!

As you know, the German first and second divisions are going to restart this weekend. We've collected everything that could interest a Gooner.

🇩🇪 Arsenal-Leihspieler | 🇬🇧 Arsenal loanees

The Greek defender is currently on loan at Nurnberg. He joined the 2. Bundesliga club in January and quickly established himself as a key player there so expect him to feature against St. Pauli on Sunday (12:30).

The Academy full-back has made 13 appearances for second-tier side Bochum this season so there is a good chance that you will see him in action against Heidenheim on Saturday (12:00).

🇩🇪 Ehemalige Schützen | 🇬🇧 Former Gunners

The winger currently plays for Bayern Munich but still remains an Arsenal supporter. We remember his goals against Spurs and Chelsea this season and following Twitter messages but the 24-year-old managed to prove that he is a Gunner even during the pandemic. You can watch him play against Union Berlin on Sunday.

How to prove that North London is still red when you are not at Arsenal anymore? Ask Serge:

The veteran full-back still has plenty of gas left in his tank as he joined Augsburg last summer after spending one season at the Emirates.

There is a good chance he'll be named in the starting XI when his team take on Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger had high hopes for the explosive winger but the Japanese has failed to fulfill the expectations. He made seven appearances for the Gunners, spent several seasons away on loan and eventually left on a free transfer.

Ryo has seemingly found his mojo at St. Pauli in the 2. Bundesliga. You have a chance to see him test himself against Mavropanos on Sunday.

Chances are you don't remember the central midfielder as he made only two appearances for the Gunners. Signed as a prospect for the future, the German spent only 1.5 years at the Emirates, leaving for Fulham in 2014. He is currently at Bochum, together with Osei-Tutu but will most likely be left on the bench.

🇩🇪 Arsenal-Transferziele | 🇬🇧 Arsenal transfer targets

The Frenchman, who has been featuring in almost every Arsenal transfer round-up since 2018, is expected to start as his RB Leipzig will lock horns with Freiburg on Saturday (2:30).

The defender and the playmaker will likely be in the starting XI as their side Bayer Leverkusen are set to face Werder Bremen on Monday (7:30 pm).

Recently linked with a move to the Emirates again, the 2014 World Cup winner has a good chance to feature in the Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 on Saturday, 2:30 pm.

BT Sport has the rights to show all Bundesliga games in the UK. All times are UK (GMT +1).
