'He has to move to a different league to prove his worth': Yet another Ghana player speaks in favour of Partey's move to Arsenal

Thomas Partey's international teammate Joseph Attamah Larweh has weighed in on his compatriot's potential move to the Emirates.

"I will be happy if he goes to Arsenal," the Fatih Karagumruk defender told CitiSports as cited by Goal.

"He has done it all at Atletico and is well known as one of their best players. He has to move forward to a different league to prove his worth there as well.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

"He needs to let people know that he is capable of succeeding in other places and not just Spain."

Here's how Arsenal could line up with Partey:

Partey's close friend and another international teammate, Kasim Nuhu, earlier expressed his desire to see Partey at the Emirates.

Thomas' father Jacob wants his son to join Mikel Arteta's team, too.

At the same time Nii Lamptey, a former Ghanaian player who had a disastrous spell in the Premier League in the 90s, thinks the midfielder should stay at the Spanish capital. He is backed by former Spurs forward Kanoute who wants Partey to remain in La Liga so there are quality Africans in the competition.

Apparently, almost everyone has chipped in with their opinion so we won't be surprised if the president of Ghana shares his views, too. At least the president of Ghana's Football Association has already given his take on the issue.

As per The Telegraph, the player told his friends that he wants to move to the Emirates.

Partey's contract with Atletico contains a €50m (£43.5m) release clause and the Gunners may have to pay it in full to sign the midfielder.

This is the first time most of us hear about Joseph Attamah Larweh but as long as he backs Thomas for the Arsenal move, he's welcome at any Arsenal space.

After all, let's hope he and those close to Partey who support the midfielder's move to the Emirates join forces and convince the 26-year-old that North London should be his next destination.
