Times: Arsenal set to accelerate talks with Auba and Martinez, Arteta prioritises signing 3 new players in summer

According to The Times, Arsenal want to capitalize on the FA Cup triumph and tie down Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Emiliano Martinez to new long-term deals.

The boss is convinced that the Gabonese will eventually end up signing a new contract after the latest success as he wants to build the team around the prolific striker.

The newspaper claims the 31-year-old will demand a contract worth over £250,000-a-week to stay beyond the summer of 2021.

The report says the size of Mikel Arteta's transfer budget will be increased after he sealed his first-ever trophy as a manager securing a place in the Europa League for next season.

The Times adds that the manager plans to employ a 4-3-3 system next season. He's eager to add Willian, Philippe Coutinho and Thomas Partey to make his squad more competitive next term. He believes this trio could add the necessary experience to the team and help his youngsters further develop.

It's also said the Gunners are set to extend Dani Ceballos' loan spell and generate more cash while reducing their wage bill through player sales. The report claims Arsenal are holding out for £40m to sell out-of-favour Matteo Guendouzi.

Do you think we'll be competitive enough to challenge for the top four if we sign the abovementioned trio even if don't get a new centre-back? Chip in below or else use our blogging platform!
