  • Gabriel is the most probable defensive reinforcement Arsenal could get in the summer.
  • Reports in Brazil indicate that Lille have already signed a replacement from local club Internacional.
  • The latter, on their part, have already announced the move Lucas Ribeiro who will replace the outgoing centre-back.

Over the last few days, Brazilian newspapers discussed a potential exit of Bruno Fuchs from Internacional. A number of clubs were tracking the 21-year-old and Lille have won the race for the centre-back.

At least, local journalist Alexandre Ernst, who has inside sources at the club, has broken the news about the transfer of Fuchs to the Ligue 1 side.

His tweet reads: "Lille is the new club of Bruno Fuchs. Inter accepted the proposal of 7.5M euros by the defender and can still earn a few thousand more euros for the lad's performance. The defender does not face Santos on Thursday."

Meanwhile, Inter have already announced the signing of Lucas Ribeiro from Hoffenheim on loan, obviously as a replacement for Fuchs.

As we all know, Arsenal are believed to be the frontrunners to land Gabriel from Lille.

According to French outlet La Voix du Nord, the centre-back wants to join Arsenal 'as quickly as possible'.

The 22-year-old was dropped from Lille's matchday squad against AZ Alkmaar and the Ligue 1 side removed his shirt from the club's website.

The rumours have been further boosted after Gabriel's brother was spotted wearing an Arsenal shirt and Pepe's on-line exchange with his former teammate.
