3 reasons why Arsenal should beat Leicester in Carabao Cup

1. Leicester have a decimated defence

It's never a good indicator when you conceded two goals to Burnley but even if we look at Brendan Rodgers' side personnel-wise, it does not make for light reading.

Ricardo Pereira is out injured, Jonny Evans is serving the last game of his suspension, while Ben Chilwell is about to make his debut for Chelsea. Kasper Schmeichel and Caglar Söyüncü are the only remnants of last year's more-or-less sturdy defensive unit. Things got so bad Brendan Rodgers fielded Wilfred Ndidi at centre-back in both league matches so far.

2. Jamie Vardy looks badly off form

The Foxes frontman had just 3 touches inside the box from open play during the last 180 minutes of action. Fun fact: Leicester's right-back James Justin had 4 during the last game alone.

Vardy looks way off his sharp self from the 2019/20 campaign and Foxes don't really have an alternative up front. Harvey Barnes is probably their most dangerous man at this point.

3. Exacting revenge

Arsenal only got a draw the last time the two teams met and it was much more than Leicester deserved on the occasion. Jamie Vardy somehow didn't get sent off for a deliberate kick at Mustafi and Schmeichel pulled off a number of world-class stops to keep the Gunners at bay.

We are more than sure that encounter is still fresh in the memory of our players and manager. If we don't waste as many clear-cut chances this time around, knocking Leicester out of the cup should not prove a massive problem.

Do you think the Gunners will get the better of Leicester? You can bet on their win right here.
