Crisis deepens
Symbolically, Unai Emery was sacked exactly one year ago and it looks like Arsenal have returned to the exact same point from where Arteta started his career path.
The Gunners have lost the fifth game of the season and it's the third successive defeat at the Emirates, which leaves us sitting fourteenth in the league.
Arteta has to drag the team out of the crisis and really quick if he doesn't want to end up like his predecessor.
No fluidity in possession
Wolves have exposed our biggest problem again - the Gunners are really slow in constructing the attacks and the build-up play is easily read by the opposition.
Ceballos-Xhaka duo at the base of midfield simply lacks quality to dominate the proceedings in that area.
Without Partey it looks average and unable to create enough chances for the frontline to pounce on. It seems like without overhauling the midfield Arsenal won't improve much in terms of creativity.
The board have to bring players in January to that area.
Crestfallen Aubameyang
While the skipper has to encourage the team for some bold actions, Auba never looked like he was in the game.
It felt like his thoughts were wandering somewhere else. He pounced on a loose ball from Patricio but instead of moving goalwards he drifted wide losing precious time and put that ball in. In another episode, he headed the ball wide from a six-yard box.
The Gabonese is obviously out of form and low on confidence, which doesn't sound optimistic at all.
