Wenger: I don't regret dedicating my life to Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has looked back on the twenty-two years he spent in charge of 

"I'm not scared to say I dedicated my life to that because you need to find the meaning in your life. And football was the meaning of my life," the Frenchman told CBS Sports.

"I know it can sound stupid. And the dedication I had for my club can sound stupid as well. But I'm like that. 

"So I couldn't and maybe even didn't try to change because if happiness is to lead the life that you love, I must say I was very happy."

Wenger has distanced himself from Arsenal and has not visited the Emirates stadium after leaving the club in May 2018.

The departure has hit Arsene hard, as he himself 

. However, the separation has also brought him a chance to try things other than being a football manager, a job he had held for 44 consecutive years starting with 

Now Wenger works at FIFA as the director of global football development.

He didn’t overstaying, for someone who keeps arsenal in the top of the league for 20 years and on top of that trophies 🏆, some of you arsenal fans are very disappointing and disrespectful to Wenger, I could never say like some of you, that’s why arsenal is struggling because of supporters like you who continue to be with out some sense of humour for Wenger, there is no manager going to be like Wenger at arsenal never, much less to achieve what he achieved at arsenal , your statement is very poor. Sorry bro , I can’t defend you on that.

About Emery, I think at the time he was appointed Arsenal manager he was considered among the elite bunch of coaches you mentioned. I think the idea behind not bringing in Carlito / Benitez was that they had nothing left to prove having already won it all. Emery at the time was viewed as a promising coach who would deliver the results—I think not many expected him to fail as miserably as he did.
And Arteta, I think he massively benefitted from working under Pep and coaching the likes of Sterling, Sane and so on. He still makes mistakes at Arsenal (trying to make players follow every instruction, being too ruthless with certain players) but had he come here earlier, the amount of these mistakes would have been far greater I think.

Abdul-Karim Barre, no, he should have die there. Not how far but it's how well. With that Wenger team bring in Pep with Mourinho as assistant coach, they'll fair without patient. That team full of averages and overhypes players.

Aleksei Blokhin, The main problem with Unai is two fold. He has an ugly relationship history of managing veterans. Second, he refused to use a translator. He was too stubborn and at the same trying too hard to prove that he belong. When you mix both together to manage the team that Arsene handed over to him in addition to the power struggle in senior leadership, you have a dose of bad side effects!

You will always have my respect! I am one of those that didn't like how you left the club.
As I have said many times to friends the way he was force out of the club was wrong. He took the heat for the incompetent board and greedy owner for many years. Yes he should have left in 2014 or even 2017 after winning the FA Cup. When it was time for them to stand by him when it was very bad and bitter with the fans and bad results, they didn't. I still believe they should have gone into Arsene's office and say Arsene, it's evitable that we must start the search for your successor so that when your contract ends the following year we are ready. What are your input? That's how you treat somebody that has brought incredible success and single handly transformed the club to what the world has come to loved about Arsenal FC.
You know the sad thing is even with his departure, our incompetent leadership had all the resources and lessons to learned from ManU to still have a seamless transition. When you look at the quality Arsene left for Unai, it was super quality offense and Veteran players. The most obvious decision should have been to bring in Ancelloti/ Allegri/Benitez! Accomplished well respect individuals to fix our defense and manage. Players knows and respect the status of these Manager in football. They have coached some of the biggest clubs in world football and won CL and Domestic Leagues. Most of all they can manage veterans. Give either one of them 3-4 years and contract and if you need to move on to more young and expansive Ideology, you have bought yourself 4 years to do so.
But as we all-know, we have an incompetent leadership in the Board and a Hands free Greedy Owner that cannot make a proper and simple decision even if their LIFE depend on it.
That's why I have been preaching patience with Arteta. I honestly believe if he had inherited the team that Unai got from Arsene, we will be in a better place today! We will win NLD! LONDON WILL ALWAYS BE RED!
