Folarin Balogun's hype train is gathering speed: the young striker made sure of that by getting a goal and an assist vs Dundalk. The question of his future remains up in the air as the current deal expires next summer - but Mikel Arteta has a hopeful outlook.
"He knows that we want to retain him at the club and we know that the length of his contract at the moment is an issue, but we’re trying to resolve it in the best possible way. We want him to stay and he’s said to me that he wants to stay at the club, so hopefully we can reach an agreement and extend his contract," Arteta told Arsenal.com.
Balogun seems to be closer to Alex Lacazette with his playing style: despite his height (1,78 meters), Folarin appears very good at hold-up play - as well as deadly in front of goal. It'll be interesting to see if he's given more opportunities in the league in the coming months because of what he offers.
