'Arsenal are following him closely': Romano provides Lamptey update

"I can confirm that Arsenal are scouting Lamptey, they are following him closely," Fabrizio Romano said on his podcast.

"But just to clarify… at the moment there is nothing. It is just scouting the player. There is nothing close to an agreement with Brighton. There are no advanced negotiations.

"I can say that Arsenal want to sign a right-back, but they have a list. So, I expect a right-back on the market for Arsenal, but let’s see if it will be Lamptey or another one."

It's not the first time the Gunners have been linked with Tariq Lamptey, who's surely one of the most exciting prospects in the league.

The main takeaway here, however, is that we are on the market for a right-back, which means Hector Bellerin might indeed be leaving the club in the summer. Oh well, maybe the time has come for the Spaniard to move on.
