As per The Athletic, Arsenal are expected to have a very busy summer and make at least 4-5 'significant' signings this summer. At the moment, the Gunners are close to completing moves for Ben White and Sambi Lokonga.
As for White, Arsenal are convinced that the deal for the centre-back will be struck after launching a second bid of £45m plus £5m in add-ons. There are some small details that are yet to be finalised with Brighton. The Gunners hope to pay for the 23-year-old in instalments over several years.
As for Lokonga, Arsenal are on the verge of competition a transfer of the central midfielder. Arteta has a very good relationship with Anderlecht boss Vincent Kompany as well as Belgium manager Roberto Martinez which has been very helpful for negotiations.
Arsenal also aim to sign another central midfielder after Xhaka's move to Roma will be finalised and are eager to sign an attacking midfielder (no. 10).
The club are eager to strengthen the right-back position with Hector Bellerin and Ainley Maitland-Niles being the most likely departures. Adding a backup left-back is also in the transfer plans.
Signing a goalkeeper is among the club's priorities this summer.
The report adds that Arsenal transfer plans may be dependant on their ability to raise money through player sales.
