On Monday night, Switzerland eliminated France in the penalty shootout. And just before it started, captain Granit Xhaka had given his teammates a pep talk holding a bottle of Coca Cola in his hands.

And a Reddit fan Delionnen insists that he knows what the Arsenal man told his teammates as he heard it being broadcast on TV.

"After the 3-1, they switched off! We were clearly the better team! It's time to write history! Concentrate, stay calm, we got this. WE GOT THIS!!" he wrote.

Switzerland broke the deadlock in the first half and were close to doubling the lead midway through the second but Ricardo Rodriguez couldn't beat Hugo Lloris' hand from the spot-kick.

Then, in the space of 12 minutes, France scored 3 goals and it seemed that the Swiss' hopes were buried. But they managed to level the scoring with Xhaka providing an assist for the equaliser.

In the shootout, Kylian Mbappe was the only player to miss the penalty.
