Arsenal drop hint over where Folarin Balogun will play next season

Arsenal youth expert Jeorge Bird shared this picture from the first-team dressing room with the following text:

"Balogun’s shirt in first-team dressing room at Emirates Stadium on tour. Essentially confirmation that he’s been promoted. Has temporarily been assigned 40 for this season. He should get a lower squad number soon."

As for Saliba and Nketiah, the question of their futures is still open. Those shirt numbers relate to the previous season only.

So, what Mr Bird means is that Balogun's shirt wouldn't be in the senior team dressing room now if he wasn't promoted.

We'll find out pretty soon if Balogun is indeed promoted.
