Graeme Souness snubs Arsene Wenger as he names 2 greatest managers in Premier League history

Speaking on talkSPORT radio, Liverpool and Scotland legend Graeme Souness said: "Arsene Wenger doesn't have the legacy of Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola. Not for me. I think he had a fantastic 10 years at Arsenal.

"But he did inherit the best back-five arguably in world football. He had a knowledge of French football when France produced the best group of players in the history of French football and he had an insight before anyone else did.

"For 10 years they were the real deal, then for another decade I don't think he came anywhere near that. The greatest legacy goes to Fergie, he built three or four teams. And Pep has brought something different into our game."

Wenger is the longest-serving manager in the history of the Premier League, managing Arsenal from 1996 to 2018 (for a total of 7,894 days).

During his time with the Gunners, the iconic Frenchman won three top-flight titles, seven FA Cups and reached the Champions League final in 2006.
