'Wenger has done it again': Brentford player may have played key role in Premier League title race — explained

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points with Manchester City suffering a shocking home defeat against Brentford at the weekend.

Ivan Toney scored a brace for the visitors with the winning goal coming in eight added minute of the game. Josh Dasilva, a familiar name to Arsenal supporters, provided the assist.

The 24-year-old midfielder was on Arsenal's books from 2006 to 2018 before moving to Brentford. Meanwhile, some Arsenal supporters jokingly believe it was all part of Arsene Wenger's plan.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Wenger brought Dasilva to Hale End, trained him so that one day he can play for Brentford and give Toney an assist for the winner against Man City. helping Arsenal remain on the top of the table without kicking a ball. He's done it again!"
