Petit urges fans to focus on football

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has called on the football fans to focus on the sporting side of the game ahead of the upcoming Qatar World Cup.

The Frenchman said: "I hope we will only talk about football from now. There's too much politics and polemics. If people are critics about the World Cup I can understand it but it should have been done more than 10 years ago when Qatar was designated to organise the World Cup."

Arsenal re-schedule January fixture dates

"The second north London derby of the season will now take place on Sunday, January 15, kicking off at 4.30pm. The following week sees United come to N5, and again that fixture will move from a Saturday to a Sunday, kicking off at 4.30pm."
