'He's made big steps in the last week': Arteta gives exciting update on Smith Rowe's return

When asked if Emile Smith Rowe is close to returning to Arsenal training, Mikel Arteta said: “Very much.

“He’s made big steps in the last week or so. He took part in some training sessions lately and looked good. We’re really keen to have him back soon.”

Smith Rowe has been out with a groin injury since September, but seems to have recovered from it and should be back in action in the New Year.

With Gabriel Jesus also out, Arteta will welcome the return of Smith Rowe and hope he can help the Gunners maintain their charge for the Premier League title.
