Arsenal face nervy wait on Saliba's fitness for Crystal Palace clash

Arsenal are currently waiting to discover if William Saliba will regain full fitness for the game against Crystal Palace on Sunday, as per Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Frenchman picked up a knock in the Europa League clash against Sporting Lisbon on Thursday and has to be substituted.

Arsenal are going to assess his situation before taking the final decision on whether to play him or not.

When asked about the extent of Saliba’s injury after the game, Mikel Arteta said: “Willy [Saliba]? I don’t know, he had some discomfort and could not continue so we had to take him out.”

If not against Palace, then the French centre-back is expected to be back in action for the Gunners after the international break.

And he's holding a place in the 25man squad. This is why iv stated we need to release 5/6 players & invest in players that can actually add to arsenal's success & not just there for the ride.wasted wages & wasted squad seat.I have 👍

If he is 95% fit let him play. The international break will give him time to rest
