According to The Athletic, Mikel Arteta is plotting a third raid on Manchester City to sign Granit Xhaka's perfect replacement.
The player in question is, of course, Ilkay Gundogan, who is yet to agree a new deal with the Cityzens.
Gundogan will see his current deal run out at the end of June, which would make him available as a free agent.
The midfielder, 32, has worked with the Arsenal boss in the past and the report claims he could be tempted for a reunion.
Gundogan will also have former teammates like Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus. Both players had key roles as Arsenal came agonisingly close to beating City to the title.
However, the report also adds that Gundogan is looking for a contract that runs for at least the next two years.
