Arsenal confirm Albert Sambi Lokonga transfer to Sevilla

Albert Sambi Lokonga has joined Sevilla on loan for the 2024/25 season, Arsenal officially announced on Monday.

The 24-year-old spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Luton Town, failing to impress as they were relegated to the Championship.

Lokonga has two years remaining on his Emirates contract and Sevilla will have an option to sign him for for around €12 million next summer.

Arsenal reportedly tried to arrange a permanent exit for the Belgian but a loan with an option to buy was the best the Gunners could do given the circumstances.
