Chelsea academy has developed groundbreaking augmented reality app that Blues future stars already use
  • After 2 years of hard work, Chelsea Academy together with and a group of developers have launched a mobile phone app, Perfect Play, which is aimed to supplement the youngsters' training.
  • With a video tracking technology, the app maps the player's space during a game or a training session and returns inch-perfect data on performance and ability, while also creating individual and team challenges using this data.
  • Academy graduate Reece James has already provided a first digital masterclass for the app, and the junior Academy teams are already using it in training.
  • It is now available to download for everyone and is expected to greatly enhance the training experience for the youngsters across all England.
  • Chelsea U11s head coach Sam Page who has brought up the stars like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham through the Stamford Bridge ranks took one of the key roles the apps' development.
