- Tottenham Hotspur were set to face Leyton Orient in the third round but the game was called off as a few Leyton players tested positive for the coronavirus.
- The north London team has been now handed a bye instead of the game being rescheduled.
- A statement from the EFL read: "In accordance with Carabao Cup Rules, Tottenham Hotspur have been awarded with a bye to progress to Round Four of the Carabao Cup and will now play Chelsea on Tuesday 29 September."
- Chelsea advanced to the fourth round after a convincing victory against Barnsley as they won the game 6-0.
