Chelsea and Sevilla still in step: Champions League standings after Matchday 3
  • While Chelsea calmly dispatched Rennes thanks to Timo Werner's penalty brace and Tammy Abraham's tap-in, Sevilla had it much tougher against Krasnodar.
  • At first, the La Liga side were 2-0 behind; then, when Ivan Raktic pulled one goal back, they had their legend Jesus Navas sent off.
  • Still, in the second half, Sevilla managed not only to equalise but to score the winner, both times courtesy of super-sub Youssef En-Nesyri.
  • This means that the Spanish club are still level with Chelsea on 7 points: the Blues are so far ahead on goals difference, but the main tie-breaker will be the score of the game between those sides in Spain.
  • In any case, if they want to finish first, Chelsea's task will be not to drop points against Rennes and Krasnodar and get a good result at Sevilla.
