Emerging clip shows Jorginho didn't really give up on scoring vs Rennes despite handing penalty kick over to Werner

Chelsea appear to have changed their regular penalty taker lately. Jorginho has been responsible for the spot-kicks over the past two seasons but Timo Werner looks to have succeeded the Italian in that role.

The German scored two penalties in the 3-0 Champions League win over Rennes after converting a spot-kick against Krasnodar last week.

Even though Jorginho handed the Blues' first penalty vs the Ligue 1 side over to Werner, the midfielder was ready to cover Timo in case of the latter's miss.

You can see how desperate the Italian was to score as he sprinted towards a potential rebound from Alfred Gomis.

Do you expect Werner to continue as Chelsea's regular penalty taker? Let us know in the comments!
