'Hudson-Odoi reveals what he's thinking as soon as he gets on the ball, how he gets past crowded defences

"I think to myself, if the game is congested in one area, I want to get it out of that area as quickly as possible because that opens the team up," Callum Hudson-Odoi told Chelsea's official site.

"I try to do that as much as possible and use my range of passing to do that.

"Every time, before I receive the ball, I always look over my shoulder and look around, just to see where space is, whether it’s so I can get the ball and take on my defender, create something myself, or so I can see somebody that’s free and get the ball to them as quickly as possible.

"Scanning the play before you receive the ball is the main thing to help you switch sides quickly, and hopefully it helps you create a chance as well."

Hudson-Odoi, who has been a part of Chelsea's academy since the age of 9 has been in great form lately.

The winger backed up his late goal against Man City last week with a goal and an assist in the game against Morecambe in the FA Cup.
